|
Princes Highway upgrade | join our webinars Hi there, We’re starting a series of Princes Highway upgrade webinars to keep you up to speed on what’s involved in the planning and design of the Princes Highway upgrade program. Join us! Work is ramping up on priority projects between Falls Creek, south of Nowra, and Moruya and the webinars are a chance for you to get a better understanding of what’s going on, our priorities and what the design and planning process is for the Princes Highway upgrade. Princes Highway upgrade Program Director, Julian Watson, will host the initial two-part series with a panel of project managers, road designers, transport planners and road safety specialists. Session 1 | Putting safety first – 2pm Friday 15 October This session will look at how we make highways safer: exploring what strategies and features are used in highway improvements to reduce the severity or frequency of crashes. Register now. Session 2 | Planning and designing a highway upgrade – 3pm Friday 22 October This session will look at what’s involved in planning and designing a highway upgrade: exploring how we identify what infrastructure or service needs improving and the design and environmental considerations required before starting work. It will break some of the lingo we use a lot on our projects: strategic options, preferred options, environmental assessments, concept designs. Register now. The Election of Office bearers will also take place during the AGM and it is hoped that we will attract “new blood” to our committee in order to improve the wider representation of our community within our organisation.
If you have not already done so please consider becoming involved. Even if you are not able to take on a committee position, your participation at our monthly meetings and projects will benefit Wandandian and give you a sense of belonging within this wonderful little community that we all call home.
